Jan Oosthuizen announcement

Safika Oosthuizens is deeply saddened to announce the death of its chief executive Jan Oosthuizen.

Jan, who was 49, died suddenly on Thursday 23, September 2010.

He is survived by his wife Jeanette and children Janine, 26, Francois (FJ), 25, and Jan Hendrik, 18.

A private funeral service for family members will take place on Monday, September 27, 2010 and a memorial service will be held on Jan’s farm Plaas Eikehof on the Amsterdam Road 10 kilometres from Ermelo at 11.00 on Friday October 1, 2010.

Jan was born and educated in Welkom and qualified as a surveyor before joining the family business in 1995.

He was an active sportsman who regularly competed in the Argus cycle race, Iron Man competitions and the Dusi Canoe Marathon. He was also a skilled pilot who commuted to work by helicopter.

He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and colleagues and by the many people who benefited from his numerous acts of kindness. For further information please contact Marie Adams on 079 514 7559.
