Goodness Luphoko

Goodness is Safika’s chief financial officer and is responsible for the overall financial, risk management and compliance functions of the company. She was appointed to the board in May 2019

She joined Safika in January 2018 after an 18-year career with global auditing firm KPMG. Goodness joined KPMG as a trainee accountant in 2000. She rose through the ranks and in 2012 she was promoted to partner and director, responsible for leading multiple teams of auditors on a portfolio of clients that included household names in South Africa’s leisure, information technology, retail, investment and manufacturing sectors.

Goodness qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2008, having completed her Bachelor of Commerce and Auditing qualifications through the universities of KwaZulu-Natal and South Africa. In addition to her accounting qualifications, Goodness has completed the Association of Black Accountants of Southern Africa’s (ABASA) Executive Leadership Development Programme, through the University of Stellenbosch.
